To further simplify and expedite the application process, DOE has made significant changes to the sample HOMES funding application for states and territories.

The U.S. Department of Energy is offering new and updated resources to support implementation of the Home Energy Rebate programs:

Home Efficiency Rebates (HOMES) Sample Application Responses: To further simplify and expedite the application process, DOE has made significant changes to the sample HOMES funding application for states and territories. Changes include:

  • Prompts to provide greater insight into what DOE is looking for in responses.
  • Adding response options that might be relevant to your state. We’ve marked these as examples within the text.
  • Clarifying sample responses that states asked questions about in the previous version.
  • Distinguishing best practices from requirements.
  • Aligning prompts and answers with the Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates (HEAR) program as appropriate.
